Is Park Industries a family business?

A:

We started more than 50 years ago as a family business and we’re still a privately held, family operation today with more than 250 employees. Tom and Joyce Schlough and their three children own Park Industries and lead the company based on time-honored principles such as trust, honesty and integrity.

Q:

I see Park uses SIEMENS CNC control systems. Why did you choose that company?

A:

Actually, Park uses machine control systems from a variety of vendors, including SIEMENS, GE/Fanuc and Mitsubishi. We choose the right control tool for the right job. We liked how the open architecture design of the SIEMENS 840Di control offered us the flexibility to flavor the operator interface on our CNCs to work in a much more "stone friendly" touch-screen way. We call this operator interface TouchStone. As the operator works, the screens change to show the information that's most appropriate at the time (context content). The same powerful G-code abilities of the CNC control system are always present, just masked behind big, easy-to-understand screens. In the case of our INFINITY CNC profiling system, we elected not to use touch-screens, but to offer the machine with the control pretty much as it comes from the factory. It's all about what's the best way to get the fabricator's job done. While we're on the subject of CNC controls, it's important to note that Park always buys control systems directly through the manufacturer's authorzied distrubution systems. We do not buy or use "gray-market" controls. In this way, if you ever have a problem, if you ever need help, you have direct access to local service either through Park or the control vendor's authorized service centers around the US.

A:

You’re invited to visit us any time. Please contact your sales representative or any of us at Park to schedule a tour of the Interior or Architectural division manufacturing facilities. We’ll also help you with any questions about flights, lodging, directions and information about local recreation.
