In this episode of Cut This, Polish That, the JAVELIN™ CNC Sawjet, TITAN® CNC Router, and FASTBACK® II Edge Polisher team up to turn one slab into seven install-ready parts in under an hour and a half.
What You Need to Know
- One slab produced 52 sq. ft. across seven parts: three countertops and four backsplash pieces.
- The JAVELIN fully processed the slab, including the sink cutout and tight nesting, in just over 12 minutes. It cut as fast as 375 inches per minute.
- The TITAN handled eased and ogee edge profiles, with high-speed routing up to 400 inches per minute.
- From cutting and setup to finishing, the complete job was install-ready in under an hour and a half.
Special thank you to Terminator Tooling for supplying their Red Evolution tooling (blade and ogee set) used on this project.
Fast Cutting. Fast Finishing. Less Hands-On Labor.
This one slab job was meant to be straightforward. That’s the point.
The JAVELIN started things off with high-speed cutting, fully processing the tightly nested slab, including the sink cutout, in just over 12 minutes.
Although the program was set to 300 inches per minute, with load control enabled the machine automatically adjusted cutting speed within defined parameters based on cutting conditions, allowing the JAVELIN to reach speeds of more than 375 inches per minute.
Once the parts were cut, they moved straight to the TITAN for finishing.

What to Watch for
The TITAN handled eased edges on the sink and countertops before switching over to an ogee profile on the island. Tooling reached up to 400 inches per minute during high-speed routing, while Terminator Tooling’s Red Evolution ogee tools produced a complete, no-touch profile.
The TITAN finished its work in just over an hour. And because this project used two different edge profiles, it required two sets of tooling. Sticking with one standard profile could have shaved nearly 30 minutes off the process.
And while the TITAN was running? The FASTBACK II ripped the four backsplash pieces at 72 inches per minute, completing another part of the job without slowing down the router.

High Production for Everyday Work
Seven parts. Three countertops. Four backsplash pieces. And a complete job ready to head straight to installation in under an hour and a half.
That total includes cutting, moving the parts, setup, routing, and finishing.
This wasn’t designed to be an extreme fabrication challenge. It’s the type of repeatable work shops process every day. Fast cutting, fast finishing, and less hands-on labor is exactly the point.
That’s what high production looks like with Park Industries® CNC machines.
