Jim Honer Retires After 35 Years of Service

In July 1985, a friend of Jim Honer’s who worked at Park Industries® recommended he come work for Park, too. Jim started as a welder where he built and installed many Park Industries® machines. Though building and installing gantry and line polishers stands out as one of his most significant memories, he remembers the PRO-EDGE® being the first competitive advantage for Park Industries®. Jim shares, “The PRO-EDGE® is a solid machine that stood out from the rest in the industry.”

Jim advanced to a supervisor position for machine and shop parts and later was promoted as an Installation Coordinator. What he liked so much about working for Park Industries® was being a part of growing Park Industries® to what it is today. Jim’s impact at Park Industries® has helped the company become stronger than ever. He enjoyed the team feel at Park Industries® and the opportunities Park offered him throughout the years.

Jim reflects fondly on his experience and shared, “the installation and service team are great workers and I was glad to be a part of the team.” Of all things, he’ll miss the people and camaraderie at Park the most. Jim plans to travel more, fish, and play in his band. He’s also looking forward to spending more time with his grandchildren and getting involved with the community.
