Precision Machinery: How It’s Made

|

The red, white, and blue of the American flag is proudly displayed on Park Industries® machinery as a testament to Park’s priority to manufacture machinery in America since 1953. The durability of Park machinery comes from a solid machine foundation manufactured from beginning to end in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Walk through Park’s leading manufacturing process of robust stone machinery utilizing the latest technology.

Steel Cutting

Park Industries® machine manufacturing stands out in the industry with its efficient and unique true fully integrated process; Park controls everything from initial design, to executing the manufacturing, to customer support. The vast 126,400 square foot expanse of Park Industries’ manufacturing facility is filled with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and tools. We use three different saws for sawing steel, as well as robotic welding in our process. The Kinetic is our larger cutting system. The Kinetic is a combination plasma machine that can drill and tap parts and profile steel before it reaches the welders. With a 40’ table, we can fit two 8’ x 20’ sheets on the machine to plasma cut at once.

Cranes

Park Industries® has many large pieces of equipment operating within the manufacturing space. Along the ceiling there are a variety of cranes available with a weight capacity spanning from 2,000 pounds to 25-Tons. These cranes are capable of lifting and helping ship out the large machinery Park manufactures.

Large 5-axis Mills

We utilize three, soon to be four, large 5-axis mills. The large 5-axis mills machine our high value and complex parts before they are put together to build our Park Industries® machinery.

Medium-sized Bar Mills & Machining Centers

There are two medium-sized bar mills and four smaller machining centers that include one horizontal machining center (HMC) and three vertical machining centers (VMC).

Paint Process

Park Industries’ rigorous paint process includes two large sand blast booths, two automated small part blasting machines, a 20’ x 50’ paint booth, and a 20’ x 50’ wash bay. An automated 450-foot paint assembly line is in place for small parts. Small parts include anything 0-800 pounds and up to 10 feet long. We have four automated parts retrieval machines called vertical lift modules or VLMs.

Quality Check

Park’s integrated manufacturing style utilizes the latest technology and offers assurance with quality check in numerous stages of the process. For stone fabricators proud to have a machine that is truly American Made, Park Industries® offers that satisfaction in the form of extremely well built, high production machinery. Each machine at Park Industries® is proudly, Made in America.
