Meet the THOR Mill
Big, Bold, and Built for Precision
The THOR Mill is Park’s newest large machining center — a multimillion-dollar beast that stands over two stories tall and weighs in with a 50,000 lb column.
With a five-axis positioning head, it machines five sides of a part without repositioning. Travel spans 18 meters on the X, 3.5 meters vertically, and 1.5+ meters horizontally.
It runs on a helical rack and pinion drive, just like our TITAN® and JAVELIN™ machines, offering smooth, ultra-precise motion even on large components.
Built for Better Machines
Parts (primarily machine bridges) we mill on THOR are now our most accurate ever. Straighter, flatter, and more dimensionally perfect than anything before it.
This machine holds positioning accuracy tighter than two ten-thousandths of an inch. And because it can run 24/7, we’re turning parts faster and delivering sooner.
