Recent Manufacturing Expansion
Jan 27, 2016
Starting in the Fall of 2014 and ending in the Spring of 2015, Park Industries began an expansion with the goal to increase manufacturing capacity and space, as well as add to the growth of Park Industries as an overall company.
This project involved knocking out the West Wing wall of the 6301 building and purchasing new state-of-the-art machinery to boost the manufacturing abilities of Park.
Over 17% of extra capacity and over 17,000 square ft of manufacturing space were added allowing Park to handle higher volumes of orders.
The machinery that was added was a Large 5-Axis Milling Machine that enable the highest machining accuracy of large parts. This 5-Axis Boring Mill was the second of its kind to be added to Park's manufacturing equipment which consistantly produce high quality parts in the shortest possible milling time. This leads to accurate machine performance and part quality everytime. It also requires much less hand work by Park associates.
The second big addition in this expansion was an extremely large industrial Blast Booth for the painting of parts.
Watch the slideshow above to see this expansion evolve into what it is today. Workers battle a Minnesota winter for a big portion of this project.
