Turning Point with Park Industries®
When Clint and his team first considered Park Industries®, they were impressed by the advanced technology and its potential to streamline operations. “Our customers absolutely love my ability to match slabs in real time,” Clint shares. “We work with a lot of high-end designers and builders, and they absolutely love it.”
The team invested in the VOYAGER XP CNC Saw, FASTBACK II Edge Polisher, and the Pathfinder Digital Slab Station. Impact Countertops found a major advantage in showcasing digital veinmatching to customers to enhance their experience. “We bring the person’s slab up front, do our layout on a giant monitor, and the client can see exactly what the final result will look like. No one else in Columbus does it quite like this,” Clint explains. The shift to digital technology has allowed Impact Countertops to elevate both quality and efficiency.
Production Boost with the Voyager XP CNC Saw
Clint recognized the need for a reliable solution for mitering and complex cuts, and the VOYAGER XP CNC Saw became the ideal choice. It allows Impact Countertops to produce intricate pieces that previously took a week in just days.
“With the VOYAGER XP, I made four islands in one week,” Clint says. “The pieces fit perfectly with miters — it’s a big change for us.”
The VOYAGER also handles high-demand materials like quartzite with ease. “We used to cut slabs like the Taj Mahal by hand, taking a day and a half,” Clint explains. “Now, we’re in the four-to-five slab range.” Guided by Park Industries®, Clint’s team also developed a honing technique, thanks to the VOYAGER XP’s versatility, that achieves a matte finish in two hours, a highly sought-after feature for high-end clients.
Enhanced Edge Finishing with FASTBACK II
The FASTBACK II Edge Polisher has revolutionized edge finishing at Impact Countertops, allowing them to handle jobs more efficiently while maintaining their high standards. “The big thing is we’re able to take on more miter lamination jobs because the FASTBACK handles our easy pencil-edge work,” Clint explains. “Instead of my team spending hours doing pencil edges by hand, we send it through the FASTBACK.”
This machine not only reduces repetitive work but also enables the team to focus on more complex fabrication. With the FASTBACK, they can polish an entire batch in under an hour, freeing skilled workers for detailed tasks.
“We’re not wasting talent on polishing,” Clint adds. “The finish is better than what could be done by hand.” This improvement has saved the company the equivalent of two full-time employees.
Precision Layouts with the Pathfinder
The Pathfinder Digital Slab Station at Impact Countertops has been a game-changer in client engagement, allowing them to showcase precise layouts before making a single cut. “What our customers absolutely love is my ability to veinmatch with the Pathfinder,” says Clint. “We bring the slab up front, do the layout on a large monitor, and the client sees exactly what the final result will look like. No one else in Columbus does it quite like this.”
With high-definition imaging, the Pathfinder streamlines the layout process, ensuring that every cut fits seamlessly. Clients enjoy a full preview of their project, reinforcing Impact’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship.
Reliable Support with next-day parts
Throughout their journey with Park Industries®, Clint has been impressed by the company’s customer service and support. Whether troubleshooting a technique or arranging next-day part delivery, Park Industries® consistently goes the extra mile.
“Coming from manufacturing, it’s important to me to have a part the next morning by 10:00 if I need it,” Clint shares. “Park makes sure we get it the next day, and that’s huge for us.”
A New Era with Park Industries®
The digital transition with Park Industries® has transformed Impact Countertops. Clint notes, “The Park machines have been game changers for us, allowing us to take on more detailed work with ease and quality.” This commitment to excellence has enabled the team to focus on craftsmanship and explore new creative possibilities.
Confident in Park Industries®’ support and equipment, Clint adds, “Having Park with us has been a huge step forward for our shop. This partnership not only enhances our capabilities but also strengthens our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service to our clients. They’re unmatched in the industry.”
