Changing Vent Plugs On C-70 Splitter

Park Industries has discovered that the current top and bottom head vent plugs found in your C-70 splitting machine should be replaced. It is possible that they may become plugged not allowing excess grease to escape from the head piston block. Excess grease in the head block can damage the head gasket.

The replacement of these vent plugs can be easily done by you using simple tools. Please follow the steps below. If you have
any questions, call Park’s service department at any time and we will answer your questions.

Remove the Top Head old vent plug and install a new vent plug.

Remove the Bottom Head old vent plug and install a new vent plug.

Replace pages 3-11/12 in your Operation and Maintenance manual with attached revised pages. If you do not have an Operation and Maintenance manual please contact Park’s Service department.
