Procedure for performing regular scheduled maintenance on the COALESCING filter element.
Disassembly of FILTER components
To access the filter media turn the collar clockwise to loosen the outer bowl protective cover. Remove cover and set aside.
Remove all replaceable parts
Unscrew the baffle which holds the filter element and dispose of the old element. Do NOT attempt to clean or re-use the old filter element. Install the new replacement element. The baffle, bowl and guard can be cleaned. Best practice would be to clean all filter components and other nearby parts before re-assembly.
Remove old O’rings and replace
Use parts provided. Do not substitute.
Assemble with the new parts
Replace the old parts with the new parts supplied in the Kit. The internal Baffle threads on and holds the new element in place.
Pressurize the AIR system and check for leaks.
Make sure bowl and guard get seated on the new O’ring. Turn on air slowly, pressurize the system and check for leaks
