This document illustrates the steps required to inspect and repair water leaking from the weep holes on the HP
line blocks on the attenuator or junction points. It also indicates the proper way to assemble the gland to ensure
a leak free seal.
On the HP block locate which weep hole is leaking. Try tightening the fitting first as this will usually take care of the problem. If not, the hp line connection next to the weep hole will need to be disassembled.
Make sure the pressure is bled from the HP lines before disassembling any connections.
Remove the collar, then remove the hp line from the connection point.
Pull the collar back to expose the gland
The gland is left hand thread. There should be three threads exposed at the tip if adjusted correctly. Adjust if necessary.
Check the mating surface of the gland for rings. The surface of the gland should be smooth. Replace if damaged. Also check the mating surface of the coned end. It should also be smooth.
If the gland is smooth and set properly, apply blue goop to the threads, reconnect and torque to 32 ft./lbs.
If the leak persists, some components may need to be replaced.
