Creating Image Backup

This guide will create a new backup image of your machine that you will be able to restore using the ghosting software.

Open the HMI cabinet and locate the USB drive inside.

Plug in a USB keyboard to the USB hub that is inside the HMI cabinet.

Shut down the machine and turn off power at the disconnect or breaker

With power off install the USB stick into the external USB slot.

Turn power on and press F5 to load the boot menu

Select the Sandisk Cruzer using the arrow keys and hit enter.

Click OK on the image below

Simatic PC Image and Partition Creator window will open up. Click on Hard Disk Manager, and then select.

Paragon Hard Disk Manager opens, click on Backup

Welcome to Smart Backup Wizard window will open, click Next.

On the What to back up screen choose Disks or Partitions

Next put a check mark in the Basic MBR Hard Disk 0 and then click next.

Backup destination choose to save data to local/network drive

Choose the Removable Disk W to save the archive to and click next.

Choose backup now and click next.

Backup Summary

Click next to start the backup process. This will take about an hour to complete.
