Guide will show you how to clean the SMI tubes that become dirty over time. Dirty tubes can block the optical sensor and cause the fluid monitoring error.
38: Fluid Monitoring Sensor Alarm
You will need the SMI tube cleaning brush to complete this task included in your hypertherm tool kit.
Turn the pump off
Disconnect a tube by pulling the tube away from the clip
Disconnect the tube from the push-to-connect fitting on top of the SMI by pushing up on the collar of the
fitting while pulling down on the tube.
Use the tube cleaning brush to clean the inner surfaces of the tube.
rinse the tube with clean water
Connect the tube to the push-to-connect fitting on ttop of the SMI
