To help obtain the longest service life of your gantry cable carrier please ensure your company is following procedures when servicing the gantry cable carrier on your Fusion 4245. If you have any questions, call Customer Support at 1-800-785-3391.

1. Proper cable carrier loading. When replacing the cable carrier or any of the items inside of it, it is very important to follow the proper loading procedure.

There are 5 factors that can affect the function of the gantry cable carrier:
1. Proper cable carrier loading.
2. Proper vertical alignment (see service document SD10122)
3. Proper strain relief.
4. Proper leveling of carrier tray.
5. Keeping carrier tray clean and free of debris.

1. Proper cable carrier loading.
When replacing the cable carrier or any of the items inside of it, it is very important to follow the
proper loading procedure.  *NOTE: The interior separators MUST not be removed and should be in every other link as shown in the loading diagram below.

2. Proper vertical alignment.
Check proper vertical alignment by reviewing Park Industries Service Document SD10122

3. Proper strain relief.
To minimize unnecessary movement within the cable carrier while is in motion, the cable/hoses must be properly fastened.
a. High pressure lines – NO cable tie.
b. All hoses (low pressure water, air, garnet) – cable tie on moving upper end attached to the bridge.
c. All cables (power, control, Profinet, etc.) – cable tie on both ends.
d. Ensure cables/hoses are not “stressed” in the carrier (see reference next page).

Proper leveling of carrier tray. Place a level across the cable carrier tray as shown below to ensure proper level. Adjust leveling bolts as needed.
Keep carrier tray clean and free of debris. Inspect the cable carrier tray daily for buildup of mud or any debris. Clean with wash-down hose as needed.
