We are informing you of a potential concern with a vendor’s product used in our equipment. The potential for failure
exists in Siemens Sirius cable-operated switches type 3SE7141-1EG10 with “Emergency Stop” function. In defective units the switch is no longer able to perform the required switching function when the user “pulls on the cable”.
The problem relates to switches manufactured from November 11 to 25, 2012. There is a risk of damage to property or injury to persons, depending on the specific application in which the cable-operated switch is installed. You should immediately take the following actions in order to minimize the risk of damage or injury:

Check the DATE OF MANUFACTURE on the name plate of the ‘Cable Operated Switch’

  1. Check the date of manufacture on the name plate of the cable-operated switch

Does the nameplate include code’4W7′

Does the nameplate include ‘4W7’?

If YES, go to step 3.

If no, there is no further action required.

Inspecting the internal components.

Remove the switch cover

Check to see if there is a gray-black spring pin in the hole in the deflection unit

Is there a spring pin?

If NO, Call Park Customer Support at 800-785-3391. If YES, Replace cover and return machine to operation.
