Micro PC Restore – restoring disk image

Guide Number: SG0741 | Printer Friendly Version | View Safety Disclaimer

This document illustrates the steps required to restore a disk image or system backup on a Siemens Micro
PC. This procedure can be used when setting up a new PC or to overwrite corrupted files on an existing PC.

Restoring a disk image will erase all of the data on the micropc and replace it with data that was current at the time the image was created.

If possible before running the ghost program, backup the CNC Router Data Folder or CNC Sawjet Data Folder on the C drive.

Shutdown the machine control software and remove power from the machine using the steps below.

Once the machine has been shutdown, locate and install the USB flash drive which holds the backup disk image into an open USB port on the MicroPC.

Turn power back on to the machine and then follow the steps to run the utility.
