ps not ready to Receive Process – alarm

This guide is intended to help clear out a “PS Not Ready To Receive Process” message on your Park Industries Kano.

The “PS Not Ready To Receive Process” is a generic alarm in the Hypertherm Phoenix software, which can be caused by many different condidtions.

Active Alarm

Toggle On/Off switch

Locate the toggle switch for the Plasma Power Supply On/Off, and flip the switch to off, then back to on, repeat this 3 times.

Toggle to manual mode

Locate the toggle switch for Auto/Manual mode, and position the switch to the manual mode

Enter cut chart

Locate and press the “Plasma 1 Cut Chart” button on the lower left section of the screen.

Sending Process to XPR

Locate and press the button “Send Process to XPR”, on the lower right section of the screen.

At this point, you should hear the purging of gas near the torch head. If you can hear the gas purging, you are ready to send the process to the XPR and continue cutting.

If you do not hear the gas purging, you may have to repeat the process from step 1.
