Machine Manual

This manual is only for Hypertherm’s Dynamax 550/560 pumps.

High Pressure Leaks

In this service guide Video we will show the steps to correcting high pressure leaks on the intensifier, couplers, blocks and the cutting head.

Overstroke Alarm

This video guide will talk about the main causes for overstroke and water pressure control alarms on the 550-560P intensifiers.

Intensifier Rebuild

This breakdown is for Hypertherm 550-560P series intensifier.

This guide will show you how to rebuild a 560P or 550P intensifier. You may need to rebuild the intensifier because seals are leaking or you have an overstroke alarm. If you have an over stroke alarm, make sure your incoming pre and post water filter pressure is good. Also check that you do not have leaks.

Cutting Head

In this video we will show how to rebuild the cutting head on off valve step by step. This will help if your nozzle is leaking or not closing.

This video will show how to remove the nozzle, mixing chamber and orifice.

If you have the nozzle broke alarm but the nozzle is not broke then the prox could be bad. This guide will show you how to bypass the prox until you can get a new one. This guide was made on a Javelin. Your setup may look a little different.

Booster Pump

This is a step by step guide on how to replace the booster pump. This guide was made on a Dynamax 350 pump but the setup is similar to all the other pumps. Your booster bump needs to be replaced if it is not boosting the water pressure up to at least 40psi. Ideally it should boost it up to 80-100psi. These are the alarms you may see depending on what machine you are running.

Garnet

In this video we will discuss reasons and what to look for when your garnet is getting wet and clogging up.

In this video we will show you how to set the appropriate garnet flow needed for your waterjet.

A step by step procedure for addressing the Mini Hopper overflowing conditions

This video will show you how to replace and set up your low garnet prox on the main hopper.

This document goes through how to clean the abrasive mini hopper.

Bleed Down Valve

In this video you will go through how to rebuild the air actuated bleed down valve.

This video is done on a 350 intensifier but is the same concept as a 550 or 560 intensifier

Hydraulic Temp Alarms

In this video we discuss 45, 55 and 65C temperature alarms and the things that should be looked at to prevent these alarms. This will cover looking at the cooling water loop and heat exchanger. These videos are for Dynamax Predictive 550P/560P pumps and Dynamax 350 (Echion) pumps.

Swivel Repair

High pressure swivel repair videos to rebuild the 90 degree and inline swivels on Javelin and Saberjet machines.

High Pressure Schematic’s

Javelin High Pressure waterjet schematic 103020 with part numbers.

Saberjet High Pressure Schematic print 94090.

Fluid Monitoring

Guide will show you how to clean the SMI tubes that become dirty over time. Dirty tubes can block the optical sensor and cause the fluid monitoring error.

Consumables Kit

Kit part number 100237 contains the most common consumable parts. You can order as a kit with the quantities listed or order individually.  This kit is for a Predictive Series P50-S Intensifier.
